How long do my Cupcakes last?
We bake fresh on the premises every morning so our regular Cupcakes are best eaten on the day of purchase. They can however, be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days. Some of our specials, especially those with fresh fruit should be eaten on the day of purchase.
Should I put my Cupcakes in the fridge or freezer?
No, our Cupcakes hate the fridge! They become dense and dry. They also do not freeze. The best way to store them is in an air tight container.
Do you have a minimum order?
No, there is no minimum order for collection – have as many or as little as you like! We do however have a minimum order of 12 Cupcakes for delivery.
Do you deliver?
We can easily deliver to the City Centre on foot. Deliveries further a field depend on the delivery address and time however we will try our best wherever possible!
How much is delivery?
It depends on the delivery address but delivery to the City Centre is a minimum of £5.
Can you post Cupcakes?
Unfortunately, we cannot put our regular Cupcakes in the post. They would arrive in an absolute mess! However, we can post Cupcakes with a flat fondant icing and no buttercream. Christmas Cupcakes are great for posting, especially for corporate clients. Our Cupcake jars are the perfect way to send their favourite Cupcake though the post. Prices start at just £3. How far in advance do I need to place an order?
We ask for as much notice as possible but 2-3 days is usually fine! For bespoke orders, wedding cupcakes or edible image Cupcakes, we ask for at least a week. If you have a last minute order though, please do give us a call, and we will do our best to squeeze you in!
Do you just do Cupcakes?
Mainly yes, however in our shop, we do various tray bakes, loaf cakes and other bakes. We also serve tea, coffee and cold drinks in our tea room.
Do you make birthday cakes and novelty cakes?
Yes! We do birthday layer cakes in 6” (£20) and 8” (£30) as our most popular sizes. This price also includes a name or age on the top of the cake. We also make novelty cakes too – prices depend on the design and complexity.
Do you make wedding cakes?
Yes! We LOVE wedding cakes! We can do various things from Cupcake towers to traditional Wedding cakes. Get in touch and tell us about your big day here.
Do you serve savoury food in your Tea room?
We don’t serve savoury food at the moment, however we do occasionally do afternoon tea packages. Usually around Mothers’ Day/Valentines Day. Keep an eye out on facebook for the most up to date information!

What size boxes do my Cupcakes come in?
We offer standard take away boxes in singles, 2 and 4. We also offer presentation boxes with a clear window in singles, 2, 4, 6 and 12. We also have sturdy corrugated boxes for 6 or 12 Cupcakes that are being transported long distances!
Do your Cupcakes contain nuts?
Our ‘All American’ Cupcake contains nuts but our other regular Cupcakes do not. We do however use nuts in the kitchen so severe allergies should not consume our products.
Do you do Gluten Free or Dairy Free Cupcakes?
We serve Cupcakes with no Gluten containing ingredients in our tearoom daily. We use a branded Gluten Free flour and take great care to avoid cross contamination. We do however stress that they are prepared in the same kitchen as the regular Cupcakes so Coeliacs should be aware of this. Dairy Free Cupcakes can be ordered, however there is a minimum order of 6 Cupcakes.
Are your Cupcakes suitable for Vegetarians?
Yes. All of our regular Cupcakes are suitable for vegetarians, however some of our specials may contain gelatin.
Do you do Sugar Free Cupcakes?
Unfortunately, we do not offer sugar free Cupcakes at present.
Do you have any job vacancies?
We ask for CV’s to be emailed to hello@crumbscupcakery.co.uk with the position interested in and availability clearly stated. Please bear in mind we may not be able to reply to all job requests at peak times.
Do you take work experience placements?
Unfortunately, we do not take work experience placements at present.
Do you do charity donations/raffle prizes?
We get a lot of requests for charity donations and raffle prizes and sadly cannot take part in everything. Our nominated charity is Arc Light in York, who work with homeless people in the City.
